Arizona Sen. Christine Marsh, a Democrat, believes that young girls attending public school throughout her state should have to shower with boys who pretend to be transgender “girls,” even if they are very uncomfortable doing so, in order that transgenders not be “stigmatized” from using “common spaces” with their “peers.”
Following the passage Senate Bill 1040, which would have required all public schools throughout Arizona to designate a private bathroom for students of either sex who are unwilling or unable to use a group bathroom due to the presence of transgenders with the wrong anatomy to shower alone – Arizona Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed SB 1040 – it came out that Marsh was one of the state’s Democrat politicians who voted against it.
“I would just like to point out that we could have just passed a law that schools have to have shower curtains and it could’ve solved this whole thing,” Marsh scoffed at a hearing of the bill, the video footage of which was obtained by the AZ War Room PAC and posted to X (formerly Twitter) – watch below:
An unbelievably troubling video.

Marsh went on at the hearing to reiterate her position that the only thing needed to keep young girls safe from potential transgender “female” predators is to simply require that public schools in Arizona install shower curtains to block the view.
“I mean people kind of chuckled, but I’m not kidding,” Marsh said before proceeding to vote against SB 1040. “That should be the law: Schools have to have shower curtains, period. End of story.”
(Fact check: Declaring oneself to be “transgender” qualifies as spreading misinformation.)
Marsh did not stop there. After declaring that “it’s pretty stigmatizing and discriminatory to expel transgender students from common spaces,” she proceeded to suggest that most biological females would not even be bothered showering with mentally ill biological males who feel like they are in the wrong body.
“The idea that we’re going to pass a law that tells a certain population of kids that they are so shameful that they shouldn’t be allowed to participate in activities and in proximity to their peers is rather offensive,” Marsh said.
What is truly offensive are Marsh’s outrageous statements and suggestions, according to Terry Schilling, president of the American Principles Project.
“It is insane that the Arizona legislature would have to pass a law to bar biological males from using girls’ restrooms and locker rooms in schools, and it is beyond insane that a legislator would actually oppose this measure, never mind a female former teacher,” Schilling is quoted as saying.
“The English language simply doesn’t have the adjectives to adequately describe the lunacy of the left. To believe that young girls should be comfortable showering with males, behind a shower curtain or not, is utterly deranged. Anyone who holds such views doesn’t belong in a school or a legislature; they belong in an asylum.”
Sen. John Kavanaugh, a Republican and the author of SB 1040, added to this in a statement to the media that “something is terribly wrong with making a 15-year-old high school freshman co-ed stand naked in a school shower next to a 16-year-old biological male.”
